Nichole - Merry & Bright Card

Hi Everyone!  Nichole here with a Christmas Card using the new Merry and Bright collection from Kaisercraft!

This richly earth toned palette was a challenge to work with as it's outside of my normal color schemes - but it seems that the entire team have risen to the challenge well.

My favorite part of the collection was the foiled ornaments that are repeated throughout the line both in the die cuts and the paper themselves.  I wanted to highlight these ornament embellishments in my work.

Here I use some of the die cuts and hand cut ornaments from the paper to create a card.

A brown ribbon sets a deeper tone against the gold glitter.  Gold glitter strips were created by using tacky tape and covering with loose glitter.  The glitter was then burnished using a bone folder.

Merry Christmas greeting is stamped on to a die cut from the collection using Hero Arts Christmas Greetings in Royal Red ink.

Tiny raw twine bows accent the top of these ornaments, held in place with Tombow Mono Multi.  Edges were accented with faux stitching using a copper toned metallic gel pen.

Ornaments are adhered with foam adhesive to pop off of the front of the card.

This chocolate satin ribbon is the perfect accent to the rich earth tones and to add texture and a smooth finish.  Edges were squared with a We R Memory Keepers Angle Cut Corner Chomper.
